At the treatment site

Reaching the deeper tissues.

The handpiece rests on the skin and delivers light down from the surface toward the target tissue(s). Different wavelengths travel to different depths, so the therapy may be delivered to where it is needed*.

*Illustration only, not anatomically accurate or exactly what happens in the body. Cold laser may reach some deeper tissues, but not all, and it does not pass through the whole body. How deep the light travels depends on the wavelength, power of the device(s) used and the tissue(s) involved.

The light is shown in blue to match our branding; in treatment, the visible portion of the light appears red. This is not a guaranteed outcome, and individual responses vary.

From your cells to your condition

How cold laser may help you.

Many of the conditions cold laser may help with involve specific tissues of the body, such as muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons and more. It may be delivered into those tissues, and those tissues are made of cells that rely on energy (ATP, made by the mitochondria) to do their work and function properly.

By supporting those mitochondria to make more ATP, one of the main proposed mechanisms in the research3 is that your cells may gain more of the energy involved in normal function, repair and recovery.3 Cold laser has also been studied for proposed anti-inflammatory effects,4 which may be relevant to concerns that involve inflammation and the discomfort that can come with it. Research into cold laser is still developing, and individual responses vary.
