Working with Stapleton Chiropractic

Information you give either business is handled by the same team, may be held in the same systems, and is used only for the purposes in this policy.
What we collect
- Contact and booking details, such as your name, phone number, email address and appointment history.
- Health information needed to provide care and keep a clinical record, such as your health history, assessment findings and the care provided.
- Payment details, where you use them to pay.
- What you tell us when you enquire by phone, email, website form, live chat or message.
- Phone call information. Some calls may be recorded. If a call is recorded, you will be told at the start of the call.
- Website information, such as the pages you visit, how you use them, your device and browser, your approximate location and how you found the site. This is collected using cookies and similar technologies.
We usually collect information directly from you, or from someone else with your consent or where the law allows.
How we collect and hold it
We collect information when you book, enquire, attend or use this website. We hold it in secure electronic systems, including cloud-based booking, records, communication and website services. Access is limited to people who need it for their work, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Why we collect it
- To provide care, keep clinical records, and manage appointments and payments.
- To respond to your enquiries and contact you about your appointments and care.
- To run, secure and improve our services and this website, including blocking spam.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
- To meet our legal and professional obligations.
Website analytics and cookies
This website uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site, including session recordings and heatmaps of how pages are used. It also uses a spam-protection service on the enquiry form and a live chat service. When we advertise online, we may also use Google advertising tools to measure our advertising. These services use cookies and similar technologies, and the information they collect is processed by Microsoft and Google. You can read Microsoft’s practices in the Microsoft Privacy Statement, and how Google uses this information at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can limit this by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser, or by changing your Google ad settings. If you would rather not use the website form or chat, phone or email us instead. This does not affect your care.
Before 23 October 2026, this website also used Google and Meta (Facebook) tags. We removed them on that date.
Computer programs and AI tools
We use software, including AI tools, to help with administration, such as preparing draft replies to enquiries. When you enquire, these tools may use your contact details and what you tell us, which can include health information and information about payment that you share with us, to help prepare a response about whether our services are likely to suit you and how to book. A member of our team reviews every response and makes every decision. No decision that significantly affects you, such as about your care or whether we can help you, is made by a computer program alone.
If you would prefer your enquiry handled without AI assistance, tell us.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed for the purposes above, including with:
- Stapleton Chiropractic, as described above
- service providers who help us run the business, such as booking, records, phone, communication, IT, website, analytics, advertising, chat, spam-protection and AI software providers
- other health practitioners involved in your care, with your consent
- others where you agree, or where the law requires or allows it
We do not sell personal information.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States. Some of these providers also use data centres in Europe and Asia.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details above. We may need to confirm your identity, and in limited cases the law allows us to refuse; if so, we will explain why in writing.
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first so we can try to resolve it. We will acknowledge your complaint, look into it and reply in writing with the outcome within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
